HABC Level Two Award in Food Safety in Catering
What is the course about?
This course is offered on 28 April or 9 June 2020 at Hull.
The aim of this one day regulated qualification is to provide individuals with knowledge of the basic food safety practices that are essential in the catering industry. This includes the hazards and risks to food safety presented by food operations and personnel, together with cost- effective, practical control measures. The qualification is designed principally for those who are, or intend to be, food handlers working in catering. It is also appropriate for those providing service to catering premises including care homes, hospitals, nurseries and schools.

- Hazards and controls
- Food safety
- Management and temperature controls
- Food poisoning control
- Personal hygiene
- Cleaning and disinfecting food pests
- The role of the food handler in keeping food safe.
The Level Two Award in Food Safety in Catering (QCF) is accredited and recognised internationally and has been developed to protect customers, brand reputation and profits.
