Level Three AAT Diploma in Accounting (Advanced)
What is the course about?
This AAT diploma develops knowledge and understanding gained on the Level 2 Certificate (or Level 2 Bookkeeping) course. It is suitable for students who have successfully completed the certificate.
The Level Three Diploma in Accounting (Advanced) qualification will build upon skills gained at level two with the introduction of:
- Complex accounting tasks, for example preparing final accounts for sole traders and partnerships
- Cash management techniques
- Costs and revenues, learning how to maintain cost accounting records and preparation of reports
- Indirect tax and completion of VAT returns
- Financial spreadsheets
- Professional ethics in an accounting and finance environment (studied at level two – on the apprenticeship route)
You will be fully supported throughout your course. Your course fee includes all taught classes, all the required study books, an exam kit, pocket notes and additional online material and support.
For online exam preparation, learners will need a device such as a laptop or PC or phone/iPad and a internet connection to take part. Ideally, devices will also have webcams for full participation. Learners will need to download the Teams app onto their laptop/PC or mobile phone/other device and devices will need to have a camera so that they can participate.

What will be studied?
AAT Level Two Certificate in Accounting (Foundation)
Evidence of previous accounting/finance study to level two
Currently employed for two years in an accounting/finance role
GCSE Maths and English are desirable
